OSU Wins EcoAthletes Collegiate Cup!
Led by Student Engagement Intern, Isabella Mitchell, the OSU team won by converting physical activity, such as walking, running, biking, and erging, into environmental currency to fund beach and waterway cleanups. Beavs logged 3872 hours of exercise in the past 6 weeks, removed 419 lbs of plastic and trash from coastal waterways, and won 1st place in the 2026 EcoAthletes Collegiate Cup Powered by Protect Where We Play. Congratulations Beavs!
OSU Recognized as a Top Performer in 2025 Sustainable Campus Index
Oregon State University has again been recognized in the 2025 Sustainable Campus Index! OSU was recognized as a Top Performer, ranking third for Coordination and Planning, with a score of 93.9%, and once again beat Cornell as a Top-Reporting Institution for submitting the most STARS reports! The Index, a publication from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE), recognizes top-performing colleges and universities overall and in 17 impact areas, as measured through the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System (STARS). The Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System (STARS) is a set of peer-reviewed, standardized indicators that measure and help manage sustainability efforts. In FY25, OSU has once again earned a gold rating with a score of 66.53! View the full breakdown of OSU's score here!
